Haw Par Villa

Came across a thread on 1 of the forum that I frequently visit and decided to plan for a family outing to Haw Par Villa.

We woke up quite late on Sunday especially Quan who slept till 12pm plus. Were thinking to give up my original plan.

We went to Kovan and had our brunch then we took MRT to Harbour Front and walk out to take bus no. 10 to Har Paw Villa.

While waiting for the train, we shoot this:-

Since my teen, I have not visited this place and to come again is new and refreshing to me.

This is the entrance, it definitely isn't so when I first came.

Wow, what a fierce tiger we have got here..

This looks terrible with only the heads!

It simply meant not to do evil deeds and return to a good self..

I dont understand this cos there is no illustration nor board explaining but somehow we figure out that there were fight among these animals and that's all we could make up...

This is the entrance to the exhibit of the 10 level of hell.

This is the 1st stage where you will be questioned and sentenced by the King of Hell..

This is one of the scary level that I have taken, there are actually more but I guess one is enough.

A wishing well with Buddha Guang Ying on Top..

Forgotten what is this about... LOL

These faces are HUGE.....

Looks at Mei and me.... we are little people compared to these faces:-

Buddha on top of a tower.

Quan, Lee and the Shumo....., funny to find this here...Quan even said "Where got Shumo so muscular."

Thought they shouldn't be here cos it's not part of China culture. Anyway, there they are..

Confucius

Personally I like this cos I find him handsome wo.... LOL

This is one of the biggest word on a rock, there are many others

Look at Mei and Quan, they can squeeze into the small tower.. Definitely not me, with my size. Hahahaha

I cannot imagine that I have taken about 57 photos just at Haw Par Villa.

After the visit, we headed to the bus stop and managed to get hold of bus service no. 51...

Along the journey, I could see many places that I have not been before. Very eye opening but this bus took a long long time to reach Kaki Bukit where we alighted and had our dinner at KOUFU. Then we headed to buy a loaf of bread and transferred bus service no. 58 home.

A tiring but fruitful day!
