Unfair Treatment!

My son failed his paper two for CPA, I should said he got a straight zero. However it is not his mistake but a mistake done by his school IT assitant.

The 1st reply I got from his form teacher was not a friendly one and the 2nd seems to have closed the case with only an apology.

My son sought help on the day of CPA exam as he can neither print nor save. Somehow instead of solving his problem, his file was accidentally deleted by the IT assistant. After that, the IT assistant asked him a stupid question “oh, did you save? What the heck, after that, he kept dumb on this matter. My son told me he informed the teacher in charge about this but only a few days later and he was replied with YOU DIDN’T SAVE, ANYWAY 1 SUBJECT CAN PASS TOO! Is this right?? I trust any students will appreciate if the teacher could have practice more patience and explain or elaborate more like in the 1st email explanation. Personally I felt this is not the correct way of highlighting to the student.

I wrote back to the teacher asking "Why should he be penalized for someone else's mistake? If I have not written in, it will deem to be his fault. I am really very disappointed with the way it is being handled". I am waiting for a response if any....

I can understand some students, especially lower secondary kids, might not have the courage to approach the teacher if such things happened but for the IT assitant, being an adult, should have step forward to clarify on the day when it happened.

Nevertheless, at this point of time, I cannot request for a retake neither do I want to make things difficult for anyone so in my email I left this last sentence "I sincerely hope such thing will not happen again and also the school will use this incident to be more careful and to alert (<-- This was in the teacher 1st reply to me and I am returning it back to them) whoever is in charge when something is not right immediately and not when it is being highlighted by parents! "

I am really very disappointed with the teacher. I believed the 1st email was sent without investigation and the 2nd was to close th
e case with only a few lines....
