As our flight was at 7.45am, we had to be at the airport around 5am+ so I forced myself to wake up around 4.30am! This is a crazy timing which I will not be so diligent in my normal life!
I asked Sis to meet me and Quan at the bus stop and we grab to T4.
While we were waiting for the rest to join, Peing called and asked whether dad was with us!!! Luckily Peing found him. I must admit that Peing is good in taking care of them.
After checking in, Peing took parents for coffee while I went straight to buy Bak Kua and pineapple tarts for Mei's manager, whom she said treated her well.
Shortly after, we needed to board and sadly we didn't take photos at the airport.
It was kind of rushing just to get to the gate via the long route!
About 10 mins after the flight took out, we were given our in flight meal - chicken spaghetti and a cup of mineral water. It was good, actually.
The flight took about 50 mins to reach KL and we have to transfer to another place to Nha Trang. The route to the connecting flight is long and we have to go through custom a few times. My dad had to take off and put on his belt a few times till he got a little frustrated. Hahahaha. After waiting for about 30 mins, we were allowed to board the plane.
About 10 or 15 mins later, we were served the inflight meal and this time, it is still CHICKEN SPAGHETTI!
The flight took about 2 hours to reach Nha Trang New Airport.
I didn't get to take the inner seat and therefore I missed my favorite clouds... Luckily I managed to snap 2 photos of it.
Upon arrival, we checked through the custom and went to get 1 sim card first. The rest were told to get it later out of the airport as it is cheaper.
After we have cleared everything, I called Zen Hotel as I cannot find the taxi which I have pre-booked with them a month ago. To my horror, they didn't arrange at all! They can even tell me to get one outside the airport when I asked how long will it take to reach the airport! This is poor service and their image to me immediately tarnished!
Luckily the driver came quite fast, it took about 45 mins to reach the hotel and the fare is VND350,000 which is about SGD 20.70; for a family of 7 with 5 luggage, this price is definitely a steal!
Mei was already waiting for us at the hotel. First impression of the hotel - The reception area was so small and the lift can only hold 4 persons with a total weight of 300kgs. Imagine we have to split 3 times in order to get to our rooms which were at the 7th storey.
The room for Dad, mum, sis and Peing was alright but ours was smaller (ok fair as the price is different by a little), but our room has no table and only 2 sockets for the 4 of us! Not to mention that the rooms are full of ants and a few mosquitoes too!! This is so sickening. I thought of forgoing the money that I have paid and go for a better hotel but Quan said they are not that bad so we stayed on. Actually it is better that the one we stayed in Bangkok. Much more better!
Mei bought pork floss cake from her colleague who is doing it as a side line. The cake is average though.
After settling down, Mei took us out for late lunch. We grab to have some seafood and it wasn't really cheap. Costed about $80 for the 8 of us BUT we didn't order alot, just a few dishes.
We walked to a temple (Thaphaponagar) and paid an entrance fee of about SGD 1+ per person. It is a small place but there are few good scene for photo taking.
Well, did I say this place is full of CHINA PEOPLE!! I heard Vietnamese dislike them but still have to entertain them as they are their main source of income - Tourists!
My dad is always so mischievous. hahahaha
After temple visiting, we grab to ORCHID SPA for foot and full body massage.
Sis and myself went for foot massage; Quan, Derron and dad went for full body massage; Mei went for Thai massage.
The massage is VND 200,000 which is about SGD 12 for an hour. Mei went for Thai massage which was slightly higher - VND 340,000 which is about SGD 20.10
The therapists were good! All of us enjoyed!
After that, we went back to hotel to rest.
